Technical Solutions Architect - Polygot - Manchester/Altrincham - Hybrid/Remote (post 3 months in office) - £100,000

Hiring multiple vacancies within the team due to project growth (the team grew by 15% last year alone)… this role is one for a Technical Architect to come and join them on their business mission!

The Role

As a Technical Solutions Architect, you will be a real linchpin within the technology team - you will play a pivotal role within the business' delivery teams by helping shape solutions to meet clients' needs, aligning with their technology strategies and you will really champion technical best practices.

This is a multi-faceted role - you will impact the design, documentation and implementation of software solutions (both commercial and off-the-shelf) to both solve business problems and meet user needs. You will work closely with colleagues to design robust, software architectures meeting both functional and non-functional requirements, influence company-wide architecture best practice, standards, tools and artefacts and have a big impact throughout the leadership team. You will represent your team and your client, make the technical decisions and manage both their expectations and the expectations of those internally. An exciting project that they have just completed is a "green zone" project, ensuring the safe transmission of co2 in one of our country's largest cities! You will work across meaningful clients from the NHS, MoJ and Home Office and get the opportunity to work on cutting-edge tech solutions such as IoT.

You will have a strong knowledge and understanding of architecture patterns and concepts for enterprise-scale solutions utilising millions of lines of data. You will have run workshops for those both internally and externally on your areas of expertise and have proven experience within a consultancy environment. The environment is extremely agile - you will use CI / Delivery tools and techniques and champion these. Your voice will be heard, and you will get the opportunity to shape processes, promote and suggest ideas regarding engineering best practises and truly utilise a broad range of languages, tools and tech. Requirements:

  • Strong experience of understanding architecture patterns and concepts for enterprise-scale solutions including building roadmaps.
  • You will have experience of collaborating with client technical stakeholders to both define and agree solution architectures capable of meeting business and user needs.
  • A polygot approach to solving technical problems - with the mindset of utilising the best solution for the job.
  • A track record in leading both collaborative design and decision-making with clients.
  • Strong knowledge of architecting modern, innovative digital services and capability working with cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures.
  • Experience in delivering within agile environments, following delivery phases and collaborating with team members from other disciplines in technology i.e. business analysts, engineering etc.
  • A strong understanding of modern programming languages and distributed system architectures i.e. CI/CD pipelines, cloud technologies and microservices
