Role Overview

Our client, a leader in the financial services space is looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer to join its growing IT team. You’ll provide hands-on support across users, systems, and infrastructure, assisting with both BAU support and exciting IT projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st to 3rd line support for end-users and IT systems, troubleshooting technical issues efficiently.
  • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP).
  • Support Microsoft 365 (O365), Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and Intune.
  • Support and maintain VoIP phone systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Assist in monitoring and improving network security and performance.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other hardware.
  • Provide application support for business-critical software.
  • Manage software installations, updates, and patching.
  • Assist with IT projects, including cloud migrations, system upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Support hardware/software rollouts and new system implementations.
  • Maintain and manage IT assets, licenses, and inventory.

Required Experience:

  • Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 - Administration & troubleshooting
  • Azure & Microsoft 365 - Administration & support (Azure AD, Intune, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Networking - Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, switches, routers
  • Hardware Support - PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers, VoIP systems
  • Application Support - Microsoft Office Suite, business applications, patch management
  • Asset Management - Keeping track of IT equipment and licences.
  • Enthusiastic and keen to learn new technologies
  • Experience in mentoring or supporting junior colleagues is desriable but not essential.
