About the role:

As a Senior Pensions Manager, the successful candidate will be working as part of the outsourced pensions management and scheme secretarial team. Acting as the lead, managing a portfolio of clients and managing the day-to-day delivery of services to those clients. Key responsibilities will involve:

  • Lead and oversee the project management of a portfolio of pension schemes and specific projects being undertaken.
  • Oversee delivery of scheme secretarial and scheme governance tasks.
  • Assist with refinement of pension management processes.
  • Monitor budgets and ensure recovery and profitability.
  • Act as a line manager, setting team objectives, giving feedback, appraising performance and addressing performance issues, support colleagues with professional development.
  • Assist with new business activity such as identifying new business development opportuntities, lead on new business pitches, deliver on client seminars, writing blogs and articles for marketing purposes.

Experience required:

  • Strong Defined Benefits background, with scheme secretarial and governance experience.
  • Strong technical understanding of pension legislation, regulations, and other relevant legislation including scheme management and compliance.
  • Project management experience, ability to prioritise and work to client deadlines.
  • Current team / line management experience.
