This Manchester based start up business is looking to expand their technical function, following a very successful period of growth. This is a profitable local business that is looking for their next senior engineer / scientist to add huge value utilising various coding and data techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop solutions to complex energy problems through internal collaboration and original research.
- Cleanse and engineer relevant data, ensuring it's organised and correct in an internal their cloud technology.
- Develop, implement, and validate statistical and machine learning models to forecast key metrics and trends.
- ï‚· Design and deploy scalable forecasting pipelines for real-time and batch predictions.
- Utilise your knowledge across time series forecasting and optimisation to build out exciting models within the financial & energy data.
- Utilise visualisation technologies to showcase findings internally.
- Build, deploy, and maintain high-performing models with cloud technologies with focus on accuracy.
- Lead the junior members of the team, upskilling and monitoring their progress.
Key Experience Needed
- An MSc or BSc in a STEM subject (or Artificial Intelligence / Software Engineering) & minimum 4 years of data science, machine learning or software engineering experience.
- In-depth knowledge of time series analysis techniques, including decomposition, seasonality, and trend modelling.
- Strong mathematical problem-solving skills, including algorithm selection and implementation.
- Real world industry expertise in Python, TypeScript, and SQL.
- excellent communication and written skills, ensuring your work is accessible to others.
- A proactive approach, taking ownership of projects and delivering high-quality work efficiently.
The role offers a competitive salary of £55,000-£65,000 depending on experience alongside a discretionary bonus. This position is on site in the office within their Manchester City Centre location.
