Commercial Litigation Solicitor (Manchester)

The Role: Qualified Solicitor (c.2+ PQE) opportunity to join one of the largest and respected Commercial Litigation teams in Manchester. You will handle cases involving:

  • Pre- and post-publication advice
  • Crisis reputation management (defamation, privacy, online reviews)
  • Media scrutiny and regulatory investigations
  • Urgent injunctive relief
  • Defamation and malicious falsehood claims
  • Confidential information protection (NDAs, licensing, breach of confidence)
  • Harassment and cyber security
  • Data protection compliance and breach responses

Role Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of litigation, especially in defamation, privacy, breach of confidence, UK GDPR, and harassment
  • County and High Court litigation experience
  • Effective time management, billing, and cost recovery
  • Understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Ability to refer to the Head of Department when necessary
  • Legal updates and blog contributions

Desirable Skills:

  • Defamation, privacy, GDPR, breach of confidence, and harassment experience
  • Experience with injunctive relief and pre-publication advice
  • Team player with business development skills
  • Knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and Media List requirements
