Job Description: We have a fantastic opportunity to join a Local Authority in the North as a Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer. This role is on a full-time basis, but part time candidates will be considered. The initial duration of the contract will be 3 months, with the likelihood of extension.

Main Responsibilities:

-            Drafting, reviewing, and negotiation a broad range of commercial contracts

-            Providing advice on subsidy control and competition law

-            Providing legal advice in relation to projects and programmes including in the areas of (but not limited to) infrastructure projects, construction, public transport schemes, major regeneration and energy projects and regional adult education, skills and training provision

-            Negotiate and review complex high value/high risk documentation and provide advice to a range of stakeholders.

Hourly Rate: £60ph Umbrella

Recent Commercial Contracts experience is essential, as they need candidates that can hit the ground running. Candidates with recent Local Government experience is desired but not essential.

This role is available on a fully remote basis.
