Role -  Casualty Fraud Solicitor

Our client is looking to expand its specialist Casualty Fraud team with the addition of an experienced Defendant Solicitor. You will provide expert defence services for public and employers' liability claims across both private and public sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of fast-track claims and multi-track claims where fraud is suspected
  • Handle direct instructions from insureds and insurers, and manage internal referrals involving commercial, public sector, and insurance clients
  • Oversee day-to-day case activities including client, opponent, court, and witness interactions, and conduct liability investigations
  • Utilise a specialist team for intelligence searches and counter fraud enquiries

Skills & Experience Required

  • Personal Injury (PI), including EL and PL (Highways)
  • Housing disrepair
  • Property damage
  • Complete MI procedures as required
  • Meet financial and chargeable targets
  • Adhere to deadlines, SLAs, quality measures and KPIs
  • Comply with relevant policies and procedures

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor/Legal Executive with a strong interest in casualty claims and fraud
  • 4+ Years PQE (preferred but not essential do not be discouraged to apply if you are below 4+ PQE)
  • Experience handling defendant EL/PL casualty claims essential
  • Experience with defendant EL/PL specific fraud claims desirable
  • Knowledge of PL, EL, Highways, and Housing Law
  • Strong caseload management, drafting, influencing, communication, and team working skills
