Job Title: Real Estate Litigation Solicitor Location: ManchesterJob Type: Full-time, Hybrid Working Available Douglas Scott are working with a long standing client who are a national law firm with a strong reputation for delivering top-tier legal services across a wide range of sectors. The Manchester office is expanding its Real Estate Litigation team, presenting an exciting opportunity for a skilled solicitor to take on a diverse and engaging caseload. With clear career progression pathways, an impressive client roster, and extensive mentoring and support from seasoned professionals, this role offers excellent growth potential and flexibility. Key Responsibilities
  • Landlord & Tenant Disputes: Handle a variety of landlord and tenant disputes, including Section 54 cases, rent disputes, forfeiture, and dilapidations claims.
  • Development Disputes: Represent developers and housebuilders on matters involving transfer wording, rights of way, and easements.
  • Agricultural Real Estate Litigation: Manage cases involving agricultural property disputes, providing expert advice to clients.
  • Lease and Transaction Support: Provide real estate litigation support in lease negotiations and other related transactions.
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience Level: Ideally seeking a solicitor with 2+ years PQE (Post-Qualified Experience) in real estate litigation. However, the team is open to applications from solicitors of all levels, due to upcoming projects and expansion plans.
  • Expertise: Strong background in handling a wide range of real estate litigation matters, including landlord and tenant disputes, development issues, and agricultural property cases.
  • Client-Focused: Excellent client service skills, with the ability to build strong, lasting relationships with both existing and new clients.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to manage complex cases efficiently.
  • Team Player: A collaborative approach and willingness to mentor junior team members while also working independently.
