The Role:
Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives? We are looking for an Employment Support Mentor who will support ex-offenders to reintegrate with the community. This rewarding role involves providing hands-on support to participants, helping them engage in life-changing programmes that open doors to employment, training, and education.
Duties:

  • Be the welcoming face of the hub, assisting participants with access and use of facilities.
  • Provide hands-on support, resolving participant queries and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Manage office administration, including post, room bookings, diary management, and paperwork processing.
  • Assist the Hub Manager and Team Lead with key projects, including certification tracking and completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of participant referrals and interactions using relevant systems.
  • Oversee financial processes, including petty cash, participant payments, vouchers, and invoice management.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, participants, and external organisations to enhance programme impact.
  • Monitor workshops, ensuring feedback is gathered and improvements are implemented.

Required Skills:

  • Experience working with individuals facing barriers to employment, training, or education is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable attitude.
  • Excellent organisational and IT skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with a willingness to work occasional unsociable hours.
  • Ability to meet challenging targets in a performance-driven environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively support and engage with participants.
  • Eagerness to learn and undertake relevant training as needed.
