Legal Secretary Construction

Manchester City Centre (Hybrid 3/2)

A leading Construction Team are hiring for an experienced Legal Secretary to support Partners & Fee Earners in their Manchester office.


Working as a Legal Secretary in the Construction team, you will have a varied and busy workload dealing with both contentious and non-contentious Construction Law matters.


The role would suit a highly organised Legal Secretary with experience in working in Construction, Real Estate or related area. As you will be supporting Partners & Fee Earners across multiple offices, communication is key, you should be confident and be able to liaise and communicate with the team and stakeholders proactively. You will play a key role in scheduling appointments, organising case files, and maintaining accurate records. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are crucial, as you will be handling multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines. Responsibilities:

  • Draft and prepare legal documents, typing, documents formatting.
  • Manage case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and organised for easy retrieval.
  • Coordinate communication between the team and various stakeholders.
  • Schedule and manage appointments, court dates, and meetings.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to legal procedures.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail especially when working to deadlines.


Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a Legal Secretary or PA within Construction Law, Real Estate or Commercial Property.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with clients and legal professionals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal management software.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a high-pressure environment.



The Legal Secretary will be working from the Manchester City Centre office but will benefit from having hybrid working which includes 2 days working from home per week.


Salary is depending on experience. Market leading benefits package.
