- Provide high-level administrative support to solicitors and legal teams, ensuring the smooth running of the department.
- Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and contracts with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Manage diary appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements for legal professionals.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Assist in the preparation for client meetings, hearings, and court appearances.
- Organise and maintain filing systems, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Perform general office duties including answering calls, taking messages, and managing email communications.
- Collaborate with other administrative staff to provide seamless support across the firm.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes, systems, and legal procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a legal secretary, ideally within a law firm setting.
- Strong document production experience, including the ability to create, edit, and format complex legal documents.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Discretion and professionalism when dealing with sensitive matters.
- Experience in a particular area of law (corporate, commercial, litigation, etc.) is a plus, though not essential.
