- Provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to the Conveyancing and Private Client teams.
- Draft, amend, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and forms.
- Prepare and manage client files, ensuring all information is accurate, confidential, and up-to-date.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and other client communications with professionalism and efficiency.
- Assist with diary management, scheduling appointments, and arranging meetings for Partners.
- Manage the filing and organisation of legal documents and records.
- Assist in preparing for client meetings, including gathering and organising relevant documentation.
- Maintain and manage the billing and timekeeping systems, ensuring accurate recording of billable hours.
- Provide general administrative support such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing as required.
- Liaise with clients, external stakeholders, and other departments in a professional manner.
- Assist with managing deadlines, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally with experience in Conveyancing and Private Client work.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and document preparation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience using legal case management software is desirable.
- A keen eye for detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Professional and friendly demeanor with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
