The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to our Conveyancing and Private Client Partners, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and excellent client service. If you have strong experience in legal secretarial work and are looking for a full-time role with a competitive salary, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to the Conveyancing and Private Client teams.
  • Draft, amend, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and forms.
  • Prepare and manage client files, ensuring all information is accurate, confidential, and up-to-date.
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and other client communications with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Assist with diary management, scheduling appointments, and arranging meetings for Partners.
  • Manage the filing and organisation of legal documents and records.
  • Assist in preparing for client meetings, including gathering and organising relevant documentation.
  • Maintain and manage the billing and timekeeping systems, ensuring accurate recording of billable hours.
  • Provide general administrative support such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing as required.
  • Liaise with clients, external stakeholders, and other departments in a professional manner.
  • Assist with managing deadlines, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally with experience in Conveyancing and Private Client work.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and document preparation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High level of organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience using legal case management software is desirable.
  • A keen eye for detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Professional and friendly demeanor with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
