Legal Secretary- Manchester (Hybrid Working)

Are you an organised and detail-oriented individual looking to build a career in the legal sector? Our client, a well-established firm in Manchester, is seeking a Legal Secretary to support their busy team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in a professional and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

As a key part of the team, you will assist fee earners with a range of administrative and secretarial tasks, including:

  • Assisting with file openings and compliance checks (KYC & AML)
  • Supporting billing processes
  • Typing correspondence and legal documents (including audio typing)
  • Proofreading and amending documents
  • Diary management and meeting scheduling
  • Booking travel and accommodation arrangements
  • Maintaining databases and archiving files
  • Scanning, filing, and preparing documentation

Requirements:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Previous experience in an administrative or legal support role is desirable but not essential
