My client is an awarding winning Legal 500 law firm based in Manchester who specialise in, supporting people across England and Wales in cases relating to medical negligence, personal injury, criminal injuries, injuries abroad, military injuries, actions against the police and at public inquiries and inquests.

About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Paralegal to join our Medical Negligence Department in our Manchester office. This is a busy and dynamic role that provides an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile, life-changing cases. You will play a vital role in supporting a team of solicitors in delivering exceptional legal service to clients affected by medical negligence.The ideal candidate will have a background in medical negligence and be eager to work on complex cases that can make a significant difference in clients' lives. This is a challenging yet rewarding position, offering the chance to develop your legal career while working in a supportive, friendly team environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist solicitors with the management of medical negligence cases, from initial client contact through to case resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft documents such as letters of claim, witness statements, and court forms.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide regular updates on case progress.
  • Liaise with medical professionals and experts to obtain evidence and opinions to support claims.
  • Maintain and update case files in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Assist with the preparation of cases for trial and settlement negotiations.
  • Ensure deadlines are met and cases are managed efficiently and in compliance with internal and regulatory processes.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 1 year experience working as a Paralegal in a medical negligence role or a similar legal background.
  • Strong understanding of medical negligence claims and relevant legal processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients, experts, and team members.
  • Commercially minded with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
