Our client is a leading FTSE 500 company based in Manchester. It is a specialty insurance practice offering coverage for hard-to-place risks that covers small businesses, fortune 3000 companies, classic cars and boats as well as livestock and energy & environmental firms.
Role
The firm is looking for a paralegal to join its civil litigation team in Manchester. The work is fast-moving, varied and challenging, and as the successful candidate, you will receive full training in their internal practices and procedures.
You will be expected to:
- Manage a caseload of debt recovery matters from inception to settlement with minimal supervision
- Prioritise your caseload and have accurate correspondence and documentation
- Communicate with clients and other members of staff effectively regarding case updates, settlements and negotiations
- Analyse debtor financial information and assets to assess potential recovery options
- Deliver on billing and other key performance indicators
Ideal Candidate
- Existing commercial litigation experience, either in debt recovery or insolvency
- Solid experience of handling your own caseload in this kind of environment
- Quality attention to detail
- First class client care and ability to be an effective team mate with a good attitude to work
