Salary: Starting at £38,766 per annum
Hours: 48 hours per week (some weekend work required)

Your MissionOur customers rely on us for fresh, high-quality products delivered on time. As our Assistant Distribution Manager, you will be a key part of our distribution team, ensuring that deliveries are safe, efficient, and cost-effective. You will oversee route planning, scheduling, compliance, and vehicle maintenance while leading a team dedicated to service excellence.
Ensure drivers comply with legal requirements (hours, tachograph rules, speed limits).
Work alongside supervisors, admin staff, and drivers to meet operational targets.
Oversee staff training, disciplinary issues, and grievances.
Collaborate with the Fleet Maintenance Manager to ensure vehicles are properly maintained.
Plan and schedule delivery routes for maximum efficiency.
Monitor stock levels and minimize wastage.
Maintain compliance with industry accreditations (e.g., Red Tractor).
Manage driver infringements and ensure timely tachograph downloads.
Generate performance reports for senior management.
Essential: Minimum Class C licence and Drivers CPC.
Supervisory experience in a distribution/logistics environment.
Knowledge of vehicle loading capacities, Health & Safety regulations, and temperature control.
Strong planning, organisational, and leadership skills.
A keen eye for hygiene, safety, and operational efficiency.
