The CompanyWe are thrilled to be working with a successful manufacturing business in their search for a Logistics manager to manage a fast moving operation on a busy manufacturing siteThe RolePlaying an integral role in the Site leadership, this role will manage and lead the Logistics operations to ensure the safe and effective transport and storage of inbound and finished goods at the siteOne of the key deliverables is to develop collaboration both internally and externally to create an industry leading customer service and operational excellence reputation for the businessKey responsibilities will include:Ensure a Safe working environment and operation for all logistics activities on the site and in direct liaison with the logistics service provider and their agents.Lead, develop and motivate a customer oriented team Embed TPM practices within the Logistics team on site as the way of working to deliver continuous improvement.Lead and manage a cost effective Logistics operation on site to meet annual budgets, deliver operational efficiencies and achieve operational productivity objectivesThe PersonThis role is pivotal to ensuring the sites continued success so we are keen to speak to candidates who have experience managing a fast moving logistics operation with a focus on customer service.Some of the your qualities and attributes will be: 
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in an FMCG Logistics environment
  • Experience of continuous improvement techniques and collaboration.
  • Experience of people development and coaching/ mentoring new employees.
  • Data driven and able to utilise the systems to drive decision making
  • People focused, enjoy managing and developing a team
