With over 20 years’ experience in the transport industry, they specialises in providing innovative technology solutions that improve the passenger experience and provide operational benefits to fleet and network operators through their systems and strives to connect the two in order to create the complete connected journey.
Fleet solutions include video surveillance to improve passenger & driver safety, vehicle & driver performance monitoring and automatic passenger counting.
Passenger information solutions include the necessary hardware and software for real time information estates, off-vehicle smart ticketing and wayfinding.
They are currently looking to expand their service and maintenance operations and have a vacancy for a Fleet Service engineer to cover Manchester, to install, maintain and repair fleet monitoring telematics and Passenger Information Systems. £5000.00 London weighting is available if residing inside if the M25.
Main duties:
- To respond to reactive service calls, returning fleet systems to a fully operational state.
- To carryout routine maintenances and system audits to existing systems
- To install/ commission new systems
- To complete updates/reports for internal and external purposes on a daily basis
Working as part of a team of engineers at fleet depots throughout the UK which includes 4 night shifts Monday to Thursday of 10 hours duration.
Attainments/Education/Experience:
Experience in:
Installation and maintenance of ancillary electronic vehicle systems, with an in-depth knowledge of CCTV.
Some experience with PC’s and networking.
A formal qualification in a related technical subject
Must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
