Join our client’s team as a Senior Logistics Representative and drive success in the UK domestic market. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving logistical challenges. You will build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, strategically secure capacity, and ensure seamless execution of shipments to meet customer expectations.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Execution: Match capacity to shipments, take ownership of strategic freight opportunities, create and execute SOPs, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operational execution.
  • Capacity Procurement: Build a healthy portfolio of carrier capacity by sourcing, negotiating, and buying at market-competitive rates. Utilise analytics and pricing tools to guide informed buying decisions.
  • Internal and External Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with carriers through regular communication and visits, onboard new carriers, and lead carrier evaluations.
  • Quality: Drive automation compliance in carrier activities, ensure high-quality standards across all shipments, and comply with internal trading rules.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics sales and transport coordination, specialising in the UK market.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and business KPI management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and influencing abilities.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and thrive under tight deadlines.
  • Team player with a “can-do” attitude, open, adaptable, and eager to learn.
