Although this senior management role sits atop the UK procurement division of a globally renowned engineering business, we're not necessarily looking for a candidate from a procurement background. Instead, this role could be ideal for someone with an engineering background within the Oil & Gas or Heavy Industry with a strong level of commercial acumen who understands business strategy.

What You Need to Have

  • A strong engineering background, ideally within Oil & Gas or heavy industries.
  • Commercial acumen and experience with strategic sourcing or procurement.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and inspire teams.
  • A track record of delivering results in complex, high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and engage at senior levels.
  • Experience working in large national or global organizations with a focus on strategic initiatives.
  • A degree or equivalent in engineering, business, or a related field. CIPS qualification is desirable but not essential.
