A national architecture practice is seeking an experienced CDM Manager to oversee and lead their CDM and Health & Safety team from their Manchester office.

As the CDM Manager, you will take a central role in ensuring compliance, overseeing a small team of CDM Advisors, and serving as a primary point of contact for clients.
The CDM Manager Role
In this leadership position, you will manage all aspects of CDM and Health & Safety, working closely with clients to ensure projects meet CDM 2015 regulations and health and safety standards. You'll provide expert guidance, support a team of CDM Principal Designers and Advisors, and handle client engagement on a range of complex projects. With additional responsibility for fee proposals and invoicing, this role requires a commercially savvy, strategic individual who can effectively oversee a growing team and contribute to business success.
CDM Manager Key Responsibilities
- Oversee CDM and Health & Safety management across projects.
- Manage and mentor a team of CDM Principal Designers and Advisors.
- Serve as the client's primary point of contact, providing expert CDM guidance on a wide variety of projects.
- Produce and manage fee proposals and control project invoicing.
- Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 regulations and best practices across all projects.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to drive successful project delivery.
- Work collaboratively across seven offices to maintain consistent and high-quality CDM services.
The CDM Manager
- NEBOSH Diploma or NEBOSH Construction Certificate as a minimum requirement.
- Extensive experience in CDM and health and safety roles, ideally with experience as a CDM Principal Designer.
- Proven experience managing small teams within a construction or consultancy environment.
- Strong client-facing skills, with a background in managing CDM projects and acting as the client contact.
- Ideally to have experience producing fee proposals and managing project invoicing.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
