Manufacturing Program Manager (Chemicals)- Manchester/ Hybrid- 6 Months- £80-£88 PH Umbrella

A multinational company are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Program Manager to join their team on an initial 6 month assignment. The successful candidate will support the manufacturing organisation in diagnosing operations, embedding new ways of working and deliver breakthrough in production performance.

Accountabilities:

  • Perform Manufacturing Excellence assessment on specific area of expertise (Chemical Engineering, Maintenance, Production performance) to identify opportunity for throughput increase and define breakthrough implementation plan.
  • Support local Manufacturing Excellence in developing organization capability
  • Collaborate with functional experts to ensure that new capabilities deployed (tools/processes/behaviour) are codified in the Production System
  • Perform targeted audit on the Production system.
  • Issue recommendation for continuous improvement.

Skills/Experience:

  • Functional expertise in desired subject matter: Chemical processes, Production performance, Maintenance.
  • Well versed in process data analysis using Data analytic and visualization tools
  • Information Management: ability to understand, manipulate and present complex, and conflicting data. Clarity of communication - ability to draw clear conclusions and direction from complexity. Ability to access and utilise data systems, including SAP.
  • Stakeholder Influencing & Management: Strong influencing skills will be required to convince site Leadership Team and other key stakeholders of the need for change
  • Proven record in the application of project and program management methodologies
  • Change and/or operational management experience
  • Strong capability to develop, coach & teach others in delivering change
  • Change management in manufacturing environment
  • Ability to communicate and influence all levels: from shopfloor to senior managers
  • Support multifunctional teams in embedding new ways of working including new tools and techniques (industry 4.0 skills is a plus)
  • Lean/Operational Excellence skills
  • Strong knowledge and experience on maintenance and production Management system
  • Ability to travel to sites across Europe
