Position: Site Manager
Location: Manchester
Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager to begin work for a leading manufacturing business with an on site presence at Manchester Airport.
Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to secure a Site Manager to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.
Your daily duties will include:
- This role is customer facing, the right person will be able to communicate with the customer in a friendly professional manner.
- Report to the Project Manager on a daily basis where required.
- Follow all CDM Health and Safety Site requirements.
- Work in cooperation with the Project Manager to Organize deliveries to site.
- Check delivery materials against packing lists and BOM (Bill of Materials)
- Report any missing or damaged items to the correct departments for replacements to be shipped to site.
- Lead the installation tasks in conjunction with the (visiting) installation team, with a hands-on approach.
- Liaise with the MAG (Manchester Airport Group) site contact to make sure co ordination of tasks align with the project schedule.
- Carry out / Co Ordinate the Site Acceptance Testing with the team resources.
- Carry out / Co Ordinate the Reliability testing with the team resources.
- Be responsible for installation quality control and reporting any issues to the project manager in a timely manner.
To be considered for this role you will need the following skills/experience:
- Experience of Lane / Line roller conveyors installations.
- Experience of working in environments where public may be present.
- Understanding of standard industry techniques for Quality control.
- Ideally a CSCS card holder or experience of working inside CDM requirements.
- Willing to learn / train.
- PC literate, able to upload / download documents and drawings.
- Able to read PDF / CAD drawings.
- Capable of working to work instructions and Method Statements.
- Willing to mentor and develop others to achieve the business goals.
