Our client is a global organisation ensuring the security of energy supply and driving the green credentials of their business customers.

Reporting to the VP Marketing Communications, the Marketing Analyst will will be part of the strategic marketing team, providing analysis and support, research and insights to support the global Marketing Communications team.

The successful candidate will lead on all aspects of marketing measurement and reporting - from analysing campaign results to determining ROI for marketing activity. Working closely with colleagues across the full Marketing team, you will develop and maintain marketing measurement tools, while delivering regular reporting for all marketing activity.

It is essential that you have analytics experience in a marketing environment.

This is a hybrid role - based in Manchester

Key accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain a suite of marketing measurement tools, processes and reports for all BAU marketing activity and channels, including email campaigns, websites, social media, events and more; provide analysis and recommendations to improve marketing performance moving forward.
  • Lead on Customer and Broker Satisfaction Surveys in collaboration with external agency - working with key stakeholders to develop content, source contact lists and adjust surveys as needed for local markets and language; arrange follow-up sessions to share results for action-planning with relevant teams.
  • Work with members of Marketing and Sales to identify the need for, develop and run strategic research projects of varying scales to support business and marketing activities, ensuring effective reporting and action-planning with results.
  • Work with Marketing and Sales teams to organise focus group events, compiling results and reporting back to business stakeholders.
  • Analyse customer and business data to develop marketing segmentation and use data to produce accurate and insightful profiles for effective and targeted marketing activity
  • Conduct market intelligence research to support strategic decision-making, including competitor audits, market share reports, brand awareness / perception, market opportunity and more.

Essential experience

  • Fluent in spoken and written English; knowledge of German, French and Dutch an asset
  • At least 5 years of experience within a business analysis environment (marketing analysis is essential)
  • Exceptional analytical ability, including overseeing and delivering projects, analysis and reporting.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with PowerBI or other advanced analytical and / or reporting tools
  • Commercially-minded, with a strong financial acumen
  • Willingness to travel between European Sales offices, as required
