- Hands-on experience with reciprocating gas engines, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of asset optimisation and performance monitoring.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
- Familiarity with peaking power projects and asset management systems (advantageous).
- Experience overseeing third-party contractors or engineering teams.
- Safely operate and maintain flexible power generation equipment in line with health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Optimise plant availability, responding to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment status, spare parts, and maintenance activities using company systems.
- Identify and escalate technical or safety issues promptly, ensuring compliance with operational procedures.
- Coordinate with external suppliers and contractors, ensuring work is completed to required standards.
- Support the commissioning of new sites, providing operational input during testing and handover.
- Participate in an on-call rota, providing out-of-hours support when necessary.
- Base salary: £46,500 per annum.
- Performance bonus:Â Up to 15% of base salary (paid quarterly).
- Overtime:Â Competitive fixed-rate pay for call-outs and additional hours.
- Additional allowances: Unsociable hours (£1,500 p/a) and on-call (£200 p/a).
