Responsibilities:
We are seeking an Electronics Engineer to join our Calibration & Maintenance Team, to service Electrical and Electronic Test Equipment, including Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE . These tasks include fault finding and repair of test equipment, supporting routine calibrations, commissioning of Test Equipment and drift analysis.
You will be working within an experienced team of Calibration & Maintenance Engineers supporting complex test platforms in the manufacture and test of complex defence systems. You will be trained to calibrate and support special to type factory test equipment using a range of technologies, DC to Microwave.
What we鈥檙e looking for from you:
路 Minimum qualification: HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
路 Experience and knowledge in the calibration of test equipment and maintenance of test systems to component level.
路 Able to utilise instructions, handbooks, drawings or specifications to provide technical advice/guidance. Able to use this information to conduct appropriate measurements and repairs down to component level.
路 Good understanding of calibration principles and processes.
路 Able to mentor other or more junior staff when requested by line manager.
路 Able to deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently.
路 Analytical and problem solving skills.
路 Good communication skills with the ability to tailor communication to the relevant audience.
路 A good understanding of SAP would be desirable.
路 Experience of working on Environmental Chambers an advantage.

Apprenticeship required
