MSM aerospace fabricators is a leading manufacturer that specialises in hydroforming and welded fabrications. We design, develop, and deliver a range of quality approved complex technical solutions to the aerospace sector. We work collaboratively with leading aerospace OEMs, globally, to create valuable intellectual property.
As a result of continued investment and expansion, we have an opportunity a new Production Manager to join our team.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Production Manager will manage all shop floor activity and production schedule adherence, adhere to all safety, quality, delivery cost & performance metrics in line with QPs & QIs.
Further responsibilities include:
- In conjunction with the Team Leaders, ensure departmental training needs are identified and supervised employees are adequately trained.
- Ensure all quality standards are adhered to by production personnel.
- Produce 1st week monthly Executive summary of SQDCP in relation to factory operations, to be supplied to Operations Director.
- EnsureContinuous Improvement is always considered and when identified submit CI form into engineering.
- Provide information on plant utilisation, production efficiencies and cost of overtime.
The successful candidate will be a confident problem solver who is detail oriented to ensure that all workings are correct. Computer skills are also essential with the ability to work with varying IT systems.
Further requirements of the role include:
- Educated to HNC or Degree Level in manufacturing or relevant industry experience.
- Experience within the aerospace or similar industry.
- Experience of ISO 9001 and aircraft quality systems.
- Experience in Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems.
- Must be able to work on your own initiative to resolve queries and problems.
- Must have track record in establishing good relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.

- Day shift only
- Hours of work: 37 hours Monday to Friday, can be worked flexibly
- Holiday Entitlement: 185 hours (flexible) + statutory or public holidays which fall within your normal working pattern.
- Pay: £13.12 per hour
- With overtime £19.68 per hour
