This position entails:
- Responsible of ocean import consignments in line with an agreed standard operating procedures.
- Managing an agreed number of customers and ensuring full operational cycle is completed includingentries, clearances, customs processes necessary for the import of shipments by sea for allocated customers, managing the collection of VAT/Duty payments in line with company policy and procedures.
- Internal/external communications with clients, suppliers and overseas agents.
- Overseeing the regularupdate and completion of pricing records for allocated customers. Ad hoc creation of pricing records for new business and new business opportunities and work in co-operation with MD to deliver these to allocated or new customers.
- Monitoring the profitability of your allocated accounts; seeking opportunities to increase the profitability and the GP/TEU performance of your allocated customers.
Candidate profile:
- Predominately experience in Imports-Freight Forwarding
- Strong operational knowledge (start to finish)
- Use of Freight Forwarding software and CDS entries.
- Excellent customer services and sound organizational skills.
- Able to use own initiative and think out of the box.
- A keen and robust team spirit/player.
- Able to adapt to changes and work effectively as part of a team.
