Key Role Details:
- Position: Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) – Duty
- Band: 6
- Location: Manchester
- Contract Duration: 3 months (with potential for extension)
- Schedule: Full-time (Days)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Hourly Rate: £25
As a Duty Worker, your role is fast-paced and critical in managing urgent mental health cases. You’ll:
- Triage and prioritize referrals, assessing immediate care needs.
- Respond to crises, providing therapeutic support and making decisions on next steps, such as hospitalization or community resources.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure swift, coordinated care.
- Conduct risk assessments to ensure patient safety.
- Document interactions and update care plans to maintain continuity of care.
- NMC Registration as a mental health nurse (RMN).
- Proven community-based experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Capable of working independently as well as within a team.
- A genuine commitment to providing high-quality care to every patient.
