Join the Manchester Equipment and Adaptations Partnership as an Children's Occupational Therapist  Level 2, Grade 8. This role is crucial in providing direct support for disabled residents and their families, ensuring they receive the best possible care and support tailored to their needs. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to improving the lives of Manchester residents through innovative and integrated health and social care services.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage a caseload of high-level and often complex cases, providing advice, guidance, and supervision to improve outcomes for individuals while ensuring adherence to statutory duties.
  • Lead in safeguarding processes, identifying and developing solutions to safeguarding risks, and ensuring effective management of these risks.
  • Work closely with partner agencies to deliver effective planning and ensure positive outcomes for vulnerable residents of Manchester.
  • Engage actively in team and service development, promoting innovative ideas and techniques to improve service performance and outcomes.
  • Prepare and produce high-quality documentation and reports, contributing to effective data recording in line with statutory accountabilities.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with partner agencies and stakeholders to facilitate access to suitable services for individuals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt style as necessary and ensure information is understood.
  • Excellent planning, organising, and analytical skills.
  • Creative problem-solving and decision-making skills in a pressurised environment.
  • Proficiency in using ICT systems to obtain, analyse, and present data effectively.
  • Current driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Willingness to consent to and apply for an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.
  • Hold or willing to work towards achieving accredited Manual Handling and Advice Training.
