Occupational Therapist/Senior Assessment Officer, Manchester City CouncilPay rate, £37.00 per hourWe are recruiting for a qualified Occupational Therapist to join an Aids & Adaptations Team in Manchester!The role involves carrying out functional assessments for disabled children across the city who have both physical and hidden disabilities. These assessments will take place in the child's home, sometimes at school as part of an MDT approach with health colleagues and social care team.      They will be expected to carry a caseload and to case manage each allocation. You will identify equipment and adaptations that will promote the child's independence this will include postural seating, specialist equipment such as shower chairs, beds, moving and handling risk assessments, safe spaces, padded rooms and safety assessments. you will make submissions to majors panel for adaptations.
