We are working with a fantastic school who are looking for an experienced School Office Admin Manager to manage the smooth running of their busy school office. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a background in school office administration who is familiar with using school management systems such as Arbor or SIMS. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the school office, ensuring efficient administrative support for both staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the school office, ensuring efficiency and organisation.
  • Supervise and support office staff, delegating tasks and providing guidance where needed.
  • Maintain and manage student records and attendance, using Arbor or SIMS.
  • Handle communication between the school, parents, and external agencies, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and handling queries.
  • Process and maintain school invoices, orders, and budgets in line with school policies.
  • Organise meetings, appointments, and school events, including the preparation of relevant documents.
  • Provide administrative support to senior staff, including drafting correspondence and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and safeguarding regulations in all administrative procedures.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Significant experience working in a school office environment, ideally as an Office Admin Manager or in a similar administrative role.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of using Arbor or SIMS school management systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, parents, and external partners.
  • A high level of discretion and professionalism, particularly when handling confidential information.
  • A proactive and problem-solving attitude with a strong work ethic.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A good understanding of school policies and procedures, particularly around safeguarding and data protection.
