Job description: A law firm in the Manchester area is looking for a highly motivated Family Locum to join their growing family department.

This is a fully remote role on a temporary basis for a 3 month period with the possibility of extension.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Managing a complex caseload, dealing with anything from fixed-fee divorces to financial disputes
  • Working on high net worth and complex children cases
  • Providing legal advice to clients over the phone, via written communication channels, and face to face meetings
  • Taking ownership of a mixed caseload of family matters, undertaking active negotiation and mediation to get the best results for your clients
  • Advising the team on complex legal queries, acting as the subject matter specialist in family law

Required skills

  • Qualified as a solicitor / CILEX qualified, with significant post-qualification experience
  • A proven background in family law, with excellent legal technical knowledge
  • Solid knowledge of divorce, separation, financial settlements, cohabitation and children law

Hours per Week: 37.5

Hourly rate: DOE
