Your new company

You will work in the public sector managing a large company reporting to the Head of HR. The company is looking for an experienced and professional senior payroll officer to develop and co-ordinate business-wide processes and payroll procedures. You will be continuously identifying opportunities for improvement within the system and be the go-to expert for end to end payroll.Your new roleIn your new role, you will support the entire payroll process with a hands-on approach whilst working with the Payroll systems lead manager to identify issues and review current processes, for up to the payroll of 2000 employees being paid on a monthly basis. Also, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of employee payroll calculations are entered/calculated, you will meet strict payroll deadlines and have a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. Whilst staying up to date with any payroll legislation and tax compliance. You will regularly review the payroll system and process and look for ways of improvement within the current structure, acting as a supporting contact for internal stakeholders for any payroll related issues.What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate will be detail oriented and highly professional with the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines. Being adaptable to an ever-changing, fast environment, you can lead and work with a small team. Have excellent attention to detail, along with strong technical system skills, and have good Excel and Microsoft skills.
