Gas Engineer

A fast growing heating company in the NW are seeking a skilled and dedicated Reactive Domestic and Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain and repair heating systems in our clients' and customers' properties. The successful candidate will ensure that heating and hot water systems operate efficiently and safely, completing any necessary repairs promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service and repair gas systems and appliances in residential, domestic and commercial settings
• Conduct inspections to identify potential issues or safety hazards.
• Repair or replace faulty components or equipment.
• Test gas systems for leaks and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding gas system operation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements and legislation, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH Records during daily work.

Requirements:

• Essential gas qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1. ACS
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
• Ability to assemble, weld, and use power tools effectively.
• Experience in plumbing or carpentry is a plus.
• Proficient in basic math calculations.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
• Familiarity with hand tools and their proper usage.
• Completion of appropriate criminal and reference checks (DBS).
