You enjoy work but it's not the be all and end all for you.The trouble is part-time jobs for senior people like you are hard to find because a lot of firms have a very rigid approach to how they hire.Not this one.This company sees this job as essentially a Head of Compliance role. It's just they don't believe their business is complex or big enough to warrant a full-time hire.From your perspective that means you can get the challenge and the balance you're after. And from theirs they get a senior professional but one that suits their needs and budget.When you join there'll be a significant amount of work to build on what they've already done. This isn't a firm that thinks they've cracked it, so you'll have plenty of say on how the business shapes up in the future. After all, they're hiring you for a reason - you're the expert.Once the foundations are in place then the focus will shift to things like:
  • Annual regulatory compliance checks
  • File review
  • Past-business auditing
  • Supporting Risk and T&C in the periodic assessment of an adviser's eligibility for CAS
  • Delivery of informative and constructive feedback to IFAs following advice quality assessments
  • Day to day regulatory queries
Amongst other things.The business is a small, boutique wealth management business in the centre of Manchester. You'll work very closely with the founder and his team as they look to improve in every area of their work.The job is for c24 hours a week, so roughly 3 days a week. The full-time equivalent pay is c£60,000 and there's a range of benefits including:

  HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:You'll be at least level 4 qualified and have plenty of experience as a compliance manager within financial planning.You'll have great technical knowledge around financial planning concepts. You'll also have experience/knowledge of Thematic Reviews, T&C, Advice Guidance and TCF.One of your strengths will be in assessing a firm's current compliance structure.
