The Group Health and Safety Manager will direct and oversee the safety policies and procedures across a multi-site key sector of this well known Transport & Distribution company.

This organisation is a leading entity in the Transport & Distribution industry. With over 200 sites, and a significant headcount, they are recognised for focus on innovation and commitment to superior service delivery.

Description

The Group Health and Safety Manager will report directly into the divisional Managing Director and will form a key part of the divisional leadership team. They will:

  • Develop and implement the safety strategy across the group
  • Support and develop management teams on all aspects of SHEQ
  • Lead and manage a team of c.12 across various locations
  • Take ownership of all SHEQ and compliance matter across the division and deliver data and updates within leadership meeting
  • Analyse statistics, data and trends to identify opportunities, create relevant action plan to deliver improvements
  • Provide SHEQ knowledge and support colleagues and lie management ensuring best practices in health & safety
  • Drive improvements in safety performance and culture

Profile

The successful Group Health and Safety Manager will build and embed the safety strategy across 10+ sites fostering a culture of best in class safety. They will have:

  • Experience of managing SHEQ across a multi-site role
  • Gravitas and strong leadership skills
  • Experience of building and deployment of safety strategy
  • Experience in similar role within Logistics, Manufacturing or similar relevant industry
  • Best in class approach to both cultural and system led safety
  • Ability to engage and communicate with colleagues at all levels of the business
  • Nebosh Diploma
  • Ability to travel to sites UK wide up to 4 days per week
