- Location: Trafford Park, Manchester - Occasional travel required.
- Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum DOE
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Oversee QHSE policies, procedures, and compliance across all operations
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) and lead initiatives for continuous improvement
- Ensure vehicle bodybuilding and modifications meet Type Approval (IVA, VCA, DVSA) and industry regulations
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to maintain workplace safety and environmental compliance
- Develop and implement quality management systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
- Lead investigations into non-conformance, incidents, and near misses, ensuring corrective and preventative actions are taken
- Manage Body Builder programmes across various dealerships
- Monitor and control COSHH, PUWER, and LOLER requirements
- Ensure adequate build documentation and technical specifications are available
- Provide technical guidance on vehicle construction standards, materials, and regulatory compliance
- Deliver QHSE training programs and foster a strong safety culture
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and suppliers to maintain compliance and certifications
- Proven experience in a QHSE and compliance role within vehicle bodybuilding, automotive, or engineering industries
- Strong understanding of Type Approval, IVA, VCA, and industry standards
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar Health & Safety certification (knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 is highly desirable)
- Understanding of fabrication, welding, and vehicle construction processes
- Strong leadership skills to implement compliance improvements and inspire a safety-first culture
- Excellent problem-solving and risk management skills
- Effective communication skills to liaise with regulatory bodies, suppliers, and internal teams
