Main Responsibilities as a Strategy Manager

  • Collaborate with senior leaders across the group to develop and refine the technology strategy, ensuring alignment with omnichannel goals.
  • Serve as a bridge between technical teams and business units, promoting clarity and alignment in objectives.
  • Facilitate workshops to gather input, build consensus, and secure stakeholder commitment.
  • Analyse financial and operational data to create robust business cases and strategic materials.
  • Assist in establishing KPIs and tracking frameworks to effectively showcase progress.
  • Develop engaging narratives and messaging to communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the management of the Technology function’s annual budget.
  • Support the creation of the Technology Roadmap to prioritise and track transformative projects.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, management, or a related discipline; equivalent work experience is also acceptable. Academic qualifications or training in legal and regulatory areas are a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in management consulting or accountancy, ideally focused on Technology, Digital, or IT, with recent experience at or near the Senior Consultant level.
  • Strategic expertise:Proven ability to develop, plan, and execute strategic business and technology initiatives, including policy creation and upkeep.Strong financial and analytical skills: Skilled in interpreting and communicating complex datasets.
  • Knowledge of financial tools and principles: Familiarity with budgeting and balance sheet analysis.
  • Proficiency in analytical tools: Advanced experience with tools like Excel, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Change management:Positive and adaptable in the face of organisational change and ambiguity, leveraging it as an opportunity for growth. Demonstrates composure when addressing opposition to strategic principles, governance, and standards.
