Join Our Primary Team as a Compassionate Cover Teacher

We are looking for a skilled and caring primary teacher to join our team. In this role, you will step in to support pupils when the main class teacher is absent. While lesson planning is not required, you will deliver engaging lessons and build strong relationships with the pupils to ensure they feel safe and supported.

Supply Teacher Role:

As a cover teacher, you will lead a class that includes a pupil with specific medical needs, with the support of a Teaching Assistant. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging lessons that align with KS1/KS2 National Curriculum guidelines and the school's creative approach.
  • Demonstrating a clear understanding of age-appropriate learning expectations, providing necessary scaffolding and challenges to help students excel.
  • Maintaining accurate student records and conducting data analyses to identify areas for reteaching and closing learning gaps.
  • Building positive relationships with students to foster trust and mutual respect.
  • Collaborating with Teaching Assistants, key stage colleagues, and wider staff to share resources, advice, and best practices for enhanced teamwork.

Essential Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Strong references supporting experience in KS1/KS2
  • A CV covering your full employment history
  • The right to work in the UK
