Calling all KS1 teachers! An exciting opportunity awaits in Denton for a committed teacher to lead a lovely Year 2 class to success!

On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are currently shortlisting for a wonderful opportunity at a highly reputable school in the heart of Denton, Tameside. The position is KS1 and involves leading a Year 2 class for the rest of the academic year fulfilling whole-class responsibilities. The role will be paid to scale (MPS 1-6) and welcome ECT's as well as more experienced teachers.

Year 2 Teacher

  • As the Year 2 teacher, you will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with National curriculum standards linking learning to modern society
  • The ability to use adaptive teaching methods to scaffold and stretch learning will be crucial to your success and achieving academic potential.
  • Experience in RWI phonics is highly desirable but not crucial. Supplemental resources are expected to be used to drive progress in reading, writing and verbal communication
  • With the world becoming more tech-savvy, you will be tasked with linking ICT opportunities to learning
  • You will be required to adhere to all school policies including safeguarding, behaviors, assessment etc.
  • The successful teacher will be able to work well independently as well as a team player and be keen to share advice and resources that support best practice
  • The school is passionate about creativity and nurturing wider skill-sets and talents in addition to academics; this is supported through various lunch time and after-school clubs.

Led by an experienced Headteacher, the school has a dedicated, supportive staff base that are friendly, welcoming and look forward to an addition in the KS1 department.
