This exciting opportunity will commence ASAP in a welcoming primary school in South Manchester. On behalf of our client school, Tradewind is seeking to appoint an experienced teaching assistant who can work flexibly and support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 or small group basis.

*you must have UK based experience

**you must have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

***you must have experience supporting pupils with SEN

Pay: £84 - £90 per day, dependant on experience (possibly higher)

This role will include:

  • Supporting KS1/KS2 children with complex special educational needs and small groups of children
  • Taking responsibility for the safeguarding of the young person in your care
  • Supporting the school team to provide a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment for students to learn

About youApplicants are required to demonstrate exceptional proficiency and competence as a Teaching Assistant.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons, managing classroom activities, and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Provide one-on-one support to pupils with learning challenges, ensuring their understanding of the curriculum
  • Assist in the preparation of teaching materials, including setting up equipment and organising resources for lessons
  • Build a positive rapport with all pupils based on trust and mutual respect
  • Work effectively as a team player with the key stage and wider staff to share advice, resources and best practice
