Milk Education are recruiting for dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistantsto join our  Secondary Schools in Greater Manchester to work on a long-term or short-term basis. The role is to start ASAP.

Teaching Assistant Role & Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering planned lessons by supporting individual students or small groups, particularly those with additional learning needs
  • Support the teacher in managing classroom behaviour, maintaining a positive learning environment, and promoting good conduct among students.
  • Ensure students are on task and engaged with the work set.
  • Offer general support to students with personal or emotional needs, ensuring their well-being and ensuring they feel safe and cared for within the school setting

Teaching Assistant Non-negotiables:

  • A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., CACHE or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children or young adults, ideally in a school setting (though not essential)
  • Must have enhanced DBS or willing to purchase one
  • Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to working with students
