Gross rate: Up to £30p/h DOE

Machine Shop Based

We are collaborating with a client in Greater Manchester seeking an experienced Mechanical Quality Inspector. This role involves working on advanced automated equipment in the workshop, conducting overhauls to restore to like-new condition, and ensuring flawless installations at customer sites. As a Quality Inspector, you will oversee inspection processes to verify compliance with stringent quality standards.

For this position of Quality Inspector, you will require to conduct the following duties:

• Conduct mechanical inspections using verniers, micrometers, bore gauges, multi-meters, and insulation testers.
• Work from CAD drawings to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform insulation testing, flow, and temperature measurements.
• Inspect third-party items and components prior to assembly.
• Test and inspect items before and after assembly to ensure they meet specifications.
• Book items into the system for traceability within the business.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and reports.

The successful Quality Inspector will need to have the following attributes:

• Experience in mechanical inspection and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Experience with flow and temperature measurement and insulation testing.
