Astute's Renewables team is partnering with one of the largest wind turbine manufacturers to recruit a Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the installation and finishing phases of wind farm sites across the UK.

Responsibilities and duties
As the Mechanical Supervisor, you will:
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed during wind turbine installation.
- Oversee subcontractors to ensure quality and technical standards are met.
- Train and support team members and subcontractors on-site.
- Conduct mechanical quality checks and inspections.
- Review and maintain accurate installation reports and documentation.
- Manage tools and equipment, ensuring they meet safety standards.
- Report defects, missing parts, or issues to the site manager and assist with corrective actions
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- A degree-level qualification with proven experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of CDM site regulations.
- Experience in wind turbine installation, including working with cranes.
- The ideal candidate would have a CSCS and/or Irish Safe Pass.
Personal skills
The Mechanical Supervisor role would suit someone who is:

- Willing to travel regularly across the UK and internationally when needed.
- Able to demonstrate a practical and technical approach to operations.

- Salary up to 45,000 depending on experience.
- 33 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays.
- 4-week work rotation (3 weeks on-site, 1 week off-site).
