My Client is a leading 1 billion turnover rail contractor, renowned for delivering high-profile infrastructure projects across the UK. With a strong focus on innovation, excellence, and sustainability, they are at the forefront of transforming the rail industry. As part of ongoing growth, they are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Freelance Project Administrator to join the team and support key project delivery on a contractual basis.

The Role:


As a Freelance Project Administrator, you will be an integral part of the project delivery teams, ensuring that administrative processes run smoothly and efficiently. This freelance opportunity offers flexibility, competitive rates, and the chance to contribute to high-value rail projects while gaining industry-leading experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide robust administrative support to project teams on a freelance basis.
  • Organize and maintain project documentation, including contracts, reports, and compliance records.
  • Track project timelines, key deliverables, and deadlines to ensure smooth execution.
  • Assist with procurement processes, including managing purchase orders and invoice tracking.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, take minutes, and track action points.
  • Support financial monitoring, including budget updates and expense management.
  • Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate effective communication.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with health, safety, and quality standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • Demonstrable experience in an administrative role, ideally within the rail, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with rail industry standards and processes is desirable but not essential.
