Rate: £45,000 - £55,000

Client:
Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Procurement Manager to join a Public Sector organisation in Manchester on a permanent basis. The role is hybrid, but free on-site parking is available. It also offers a generous pension scheme and a great flexi-time policy.
The Role:
- Ensure all procurement activity is carried out in a compliant manner both professionally and legally
- Work proactively with stakeholders to ensure efficient procurement and commissioning activity is undertaken
- Develop business cases to ensure contracts are fit for purpose whilst driving continuous improvement to maximise efficiency
- Ensure that procurement projects deliver value for money and identify opportunities to deliver cost savings
- Develop great working relationships with key business areas
- Develop tenders and specifications and manage the process through to contract award
- Provide training and support to colleagues
- Maintain the contracts database
Person:
- MCIPS or equivalent level of relevant experience
- Previous experience in Public Sector
- Working knowledge of PCR2015
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Skilled relationship builder
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
