Rate: £45,000 - £55,000

Client: 

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Procurement Manager to join a Public Sector organisation in Manchester on a permanent basis. The role is hybrid, but free on-site parking is available. It also offers a generous pension scheme and a great flexi-time policy.

The Role:

  • Ensure all procurement activity is carried out in a compliant manner both professionally and legally
  • Work proactively with stakeholders to ensure efficient procurement and commissioning activity is undertaken
  • Develop business cases to ensure contracts are fit for purpose whilst driving continuous improvement to maximise efficiency
  • Ensure that procurement projects deliver value for money and identify opportunities to deliver cost savings 
  • Develop great working relationships with key business areas
  • Develop tenders and specifications and manage the process through to contract award
  • Provide training and support to colleagues
  • Maintain the contracts database

Person:

  • MCIPS or equivalent level of relevant experience
  • Previous experience in Public Sector
  • Working knowledge of PCR2015
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Skilled relationship builder
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
