Calibre Search has been retained to find an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic and growing Cost Management team in Manchester.

The practice, part of a leading national Design Architecture firm, has developed a strong and well-established QS team, providing an excellent opportunity for you to learn and deliver high-quality QS services.
Working closely with the Associates and Director, you will be involved in several exciting and secured healthcare, residential, and commercial projects across the North of England.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain full APC support from an MRICS PQS Director, while building expertise in managing high-profile clients and stakeholders from an Employers Agent perspective.

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to thrive in client-facing roles
  • BSc in Quantity Surveying (or related field), ideally with experience in a consultancy environment
  • Ability to chair meetings and lead a project team, including managing conflict and resolving complex issues
  • Exceptional planning, organizational, and prioritization skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Independent, decisive, and accountable, with a proactive approach to getting the job done
  • Experience in managing pre- and post-contract services, including cost variances, valuations, cost checks, and final accounts
