They are now seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team in North Manchester, playing a key role in the commercial success of their projects.

Quantity Surveyor Job Overview

  • Managing all commercial aspects of allocated projects from estimation through to final delivery.
  • Ensuring the financial governance and profitability of assigned contracts.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and the supply chain.
  • Managing subcontractor appointments, valuations, and payments in line with contract terms.
  • Preparing monthly CVRs and reporting to accounts and directors.
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and issuing notices in accordance with timeframes.
  • Assessing and preparing estimates for contract variations and change orders.
  • Providing commercial support and advice to project teams on contract compliance, risk management, and financial matters.
  • Preparing and agreeing interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Maximising project cash flow, external value, and profitability.

Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements

  • Prior experience working on fitout projects
  • Experience in successfully delivering projects within budget.
  • In-depth knowledge of JCT contracts and their mechanisms.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and build strong professional relationships.
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly spreadsheets, databases, and bespoke software.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
