Exciting Opportunity for Senior Quantity Surveyors in the Manchester Area!

Senior Quantity Surveyor | Hybrid Working | Major Infrastructure Projects

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a passion for working on large-scale projects in the Renewable Energy, Power, Nuclear, Windfarm- off-shore /on-Shore, Petrochemical or Oil and Gas sectors? Our award-winning consultancy client has multiple permanent opportunities for you to join their team in Manchester!

About the Role:

This is the perfect opportunity for professionals with 3 to 10 years of Quantity Surveying experience who thrive in the Natural Resources or Major Infrastructure Projects sectors. Based in Durham, with flexible hybrid working arrangements, you will be involved in procurement, estimating, pre-tender contracts, and supporting the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful post-contract completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee procurement processes and create accurate cost estimates
  • Develop and assemble pre-tender contracts
  • Manage the full project lifecycle from inception to completion
  • Handle client relationships and manage your own client workload
  • Ensure contract compliance and provide expert advice on contractual matters
  • Strong negotiation skills to ensure best value for clients
  • Experience with business development and growing client portfolios is advantageous
  • APC qualification or working towards it is welcomed
  • Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Relevant Construction HNC or Degree qualification
  • Proven track record in Petrochemical, Oil and Gas, Renewable Energy, Nuclear, or Power/Major Infrastructure Projects
  • 3-10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Strong contract knowledge, commercial acumen, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects
  • Experience in business development and client relationship management is a plus
